Direct evidence of evolution?
    #10634162 -

Mountain gorillas in Africa(keep in mind I'm not racist) bear some resemblance to Africans. Africans have a flatter nose alike it and a rounder, flatter face in general.

Recently I saw a show about monkeys in South-East Asia and all the monkeys has slanty eyes alike Asians. Is this recognised as evidence of evolution?

No.  Man evolved in africa first before migrating to the mid east, asia and beyond.

Y'know, contrary to popular belief apes have small lips.

I just thought it was too much of a coincidence. Slanty eyed monkeys over in Asia and with gorillas bearing a resemblance to Africans.

It is most likely an adaptation to environmental conditions.

No.  That's just plain racist.

humans did not evolve from apes, so your noted "resemblances" are merely coincidental.

No.  We evolved from apes.  Just not any apes that are alive today.

A large portion of the shroomery detests biology, physics and science in general.  Damn hippies.

incorrect.  apes and humans evolved from a common ancestor, that was obviously not an ape (since they didn't exist yet).

incorrect.  That common ancestor is considered an ape.  Apes diverged from primates before apes split into what we now know as humans, gorillas, etc.
