freshman-jr year of highschool I was a model student. My senior year I started getting into cocaine and perscriptions. I got in alot of trouble at my school for rolling at school dances and coming to school 'under the influence of marijuana' one too many times.... I actually got kicked out of my school. Luckily I got my diploma because I have PLENTY of credits (Like i said... model student)

I didnt realize how much I fucked up untill I realized that my parents dont get to see their son walk at graduation. Just typing this brings tears to my eyes becuase they have done so much for me and I cant even give them the pride of watching me compleate something that I have been working on since my first day of 1st grade. I fucked up with 2 months to go. Graduation was last friday and there is NO going back. instead, my diploma was mailed to my front door. This is why I am going to work my fucking ass off and do well next year at college so they can finally see me walk :frown:

Yeah, I dropped out senior year young dude, all that society shit is stupid and 100% fake/pointless, don't fucking sweat over it or let anyone make you feel guilty. You did well living your final moments of compulsory education in a drug induced blissful stupor. :thumbup:

I didn't even graduate. I got my GED. My sister got a big party with all the family invited when she graduated. I didn't get shit. But I'm okay with that, because I didn't get guilt-tripped either.

If your parents are so pathetic as to make you feel guilty for GRADUATING (even if it wasn't exactly how then envisioned) then I would say fuck them and their petty expectations.

Don't feel bad.  Some people are destined to be complete wastes of life.  They will do nothing with their life, be nothing, contribute nothing and leave no mark whatsoever.  They'll justify this piss poor existence with the same tired lame excuse that's given over and over again.  They'll claim they are free.  They'll claim they love having no responsibilities. 

These people are born in the same town that they'll inevitably die in.  They will work minimum wage jobs that consist of mopping floors, pumping gas and serving fries.  Then they will die.

How on earth could anyone justify that type of life as "living free" or "experiencing enlightenment"?

You get one life and should live it to the fullest.  Screw societies expectations.  Screw what your parents think.  You should be ashamed of yourself for setting the bar so low.

I got kicked out of high school for possesion of prescription pills. I cant even pass my ged because I suck so fuckin bad at math,I  kinda teaching my self the best I can. so dont feel bad. just dont be stuck livin at your parents house for ever.

Its really easy to disapoint your parents. They recently found out I *gasp* smoke marijuana! My mom doesnt like that I do it, but my dad is on a full out hate arsenal. Im actually a really smart kid, and thats why hes so mad apparently.

No amounts of scientific evidence or personal experience can sway his opinion. At first I felt bad I disappointed him, but now, they way he is treating me, I basically say fuck it, Its not worth my time or agony. If he wants to torture himself, let him.

Moral of the story, Dont sweat it. If they dont like you for you, fuck em.

Another worthless symbol of "achievment" in America, walking. As if it matters. I've watched people who couldn't spell their own name walk. Now the argument could go that if even idiots could make it to walking, so should the OP. But who cares.

OP, I appreciate your heart man, and shame can be a great bath to cleanse ones self centered heart in. But you have not deprived your parents of anything, and continuing in shame will only lead to other issues.

Forgive yourself, and achieve for the right reasons.

Also, what will really make your parents proud is when you're on your own two feet living at a nice downtown condo and showing up to their front steps for their 30th anniversary with a new toyota hatchback as a gift.

from someone who just got kicked out of college in his 5th year, but still finds time to smoke an 8th a day, id say stop smoking, or cut back on the weed if your education is of value to you, as it is you seem to not be able to handle drugs and high school, drugs and college is not going to be any easier.

Athleticism and brains often do not go hand in hand. We were just talking about athletics.

Also he's an arrogant asshole, so I do not think anyone should aspire to be him in any way other than physically. Out of the US olympic swim team, there were only two guys who were not really down to earth nice people and he was one.
