anybody else watch cash cab?

i fucking love that show. its the first general knowledge based gameshow that normal people can win on (unlike jeopardy). i would absolutely dominate on that show. makes me wanna go to NYC and hail a cab.

i've always described myself as a wealth of useless knowledge, so i guess thats why i like the show so much. i finally get to put some of that useless info..........to use. :lol:

I love this show too! I find myself screaming out answers as the passengers think of the answer. Sadly, I'm wrong like 60% of the time. Also, how cool would it be to have a van with those multi-colored ceiling lights?!

I would totally take psychedelics (:mushroom2: or :sanpedro: maybe?), recline my seat, enjoy the psy-show to some great psy-trance music, all while driving to movies.

And I love how they have the stand-up comedian, Ben Bailey, as the host/driver of the show. Its awesome *right* before Ben tells the passengers that its a game show and he acts/speaks to the new passengers/competitors with a random, quirky character. Cracks me up every time when I see it, because the passengers act like the driver is completely normal. Funny stuff.

Lastly, I like how the show has like a soft-core professional voyeurism perverted factor to it. I mean, all those high-angle camera views (there's cameras on the ceiling lookin' down) and the occasional hot New York women or pair of women who wear low-cut tops or short dresses/skirts, its hard not to look at such great unintended erotic voyeurism. It's like HBO's "Taxi-Cab Confession", but for boys instead of men! Its hard not to watch the show without touching my tally-wacker, but I'm trying!

If I go to New York City, I'm gunna ride in cabs, looking for that one cab van with the checkers on the side and Ben Bailey in the driver seat. I think I could win some dough. And if I get to the end without losing, I'm going "double or nothing" Video Bonus. I hope its a porno video, because I those like the back of my hand!

yeah, i've been watching ben bailey for years. i can remember seeing him on the MTV 1/2 hour comedy hour about 15 yrs ago. he's always had a good stand up routine.

Wow, I didn't realize Ben Bailey has been doing stand-up for 15 years! Thats a long time. And you said he was on that MTV 30min show. I wonder if he worked with Jon Stewart, one of my other favorite comedians on Comedy Central. I know Jon used to be on some kind of MTV show WAY back in the day. What's it called again? I think it was only on at late-night times. Anyway, he's great and he does some funny voices on the show. Gotta love the improv comedy.

jon stewart started out on "short attention span theater" on comedy central.

edit: the MTV show was called "the jon stewart show". after that he hosted "you wrote it, you watch it".
