Is it normal to always feel lonely?

????  anyone else feel this way?

I think that is the the source of my depression. I always feel kinda lonely and it depresses me.

If you're alone all the time, yes.

If you don't let yourself connect with people when you're with them, yes.

If you have a fulfilling social life but still feel lonely look into seeing a therapist.

I have friends.  no sex in around 2 years and I have not met any like minded girls since two years ago, but that girl and me have some philosophical differences, and I'm not sure if we would work.

there are seriously no girls in my area, all the good girls seem like they are taken

maybe I just need go out and get laid

I think I connect with people when I am with them. but I don't like to rely on other people for my personal happiness

When you are alone for long enough, the loneliness becomes unproductive and goes away. Needs you sought (or aught) to have fulfilled by others, you will fulfill yourself or their importance and urgency fades over the years.

The human mind is remarkably adaptive.

Go out and find someone while you're still connected.

After I broke up with my girlfriend I slept around for alitle while but still felt pretty lonely up untill literally last night when I finally hooked up with a girl I felt I had a special bond with. It sure does feel good though.

Thats because you do the same things every day and therefore run into the same old people.

Get a job in a big city and live in the area where all the cool things are.  In some parts of San Francisco there are three really hot chicks on every block and no one to fuck them.

loneliness breeds lonliness. The less contact you have with others, the less you will want to have. It works the opposite way too though so even though its really hard at first you just need to force yourself to be social for a while and eventually you will become super energized and outgoing. At least thats how it was for me, I was really depressed and lonely this winter but I'm coming out of my shell again now.
