I'm really not sure.  I have a vein on the side closest to my stomach that got really irritated by having sex too often with condoms about a year ago.

I was using magnums, but they're still damn tight.  The ring on the condoms made the vein blow up.  It hurt steadily for almost the whole year.  I couldn't whack off or have sex without significant pain in the dick.
The vein is now longer than it used to be, and to me, its unsightly.  I doubt chicks would really care, but I don't like it.
It still hurts sometimes too.

I also can't really have sex without lube, so thats kind of obnoxious.

As far as pleasuring women goes, yeah, the thickness helps a great deal.  I've never had a chick talk smack behind my back about how I am in bed or my size.
