Deciphering actions of the opposite sex in the game of love

Has anybody else ever sat down and tried to figure this stuff out? First, I'll start off with some easy ones:

"I think we should take a break."

really means...

1. I don't really dig you as much as I once did.
2. I found somebody better.

A woman saying, "Let's just be friends."

really means...

"I don't find you sexually appealing."

But, they do get more difficult to translate.

A guy hanging out with a girl for a week or so. The guy says all kinds of stuff like, "I really like you. I want to treat you like you aren't just a piece of ass. We should hang out and go do this stuff." Girl thinks that the guy is genuine and potential relationship material. Guy never calls girl again. Girl is absolutely stumped as to what happened.

really means...

1. The guy wanted sex and said a bunch of bullshit to get laid.
2. The guy can tell that the girl really digs him and he doesn't dig her as much. But, he is bored and doesn't have anything else going on so he hangs out with her. He says a bunch of nice stuff because he doesn't want to look like an asshole and hurt the girls feelings. He then tries to politely blow the girl off hoping she'll get the hint.

I should write a romance column! :tongue:
