The Music, Art, & Literature forum on Shroomery is in bad shape, its pretty pathetic. I have seen some cool art, have seen little posting about literature, but when it comes to music this board completely FAILS.
You would think that people with a mind open enough to take psychedelics, would have more appreciation for the various types of beautiful music in the world, but this is totally not the case in any sense.
Its all the same shit posts getting bumped with 100's of pages. Any good post is dated around 2006 or maybe before. Probably about 2 new topics a day if your lucky that just get over looked. And half the shit up there is about Metal.
I find it even hard to believe that those enlightened by psychedelics and other substances would even listen to Metal trash as well as all the other trash posted on the music board. but thats probably the same person over and over.
I do talk to a few cool people with a decent taste about music on Shroomery, we have even shared music. but this was comepletely unrelated to the music board.
I have come to the conclusion that anyone with a decent music taste must just avoid the music board entirely, so it just gets clogged up with the commercial left overs and their poor mainstream taste.
but then i wonder, when i see all the other bogus topics posted around here ... how can you people not want to talk about music?
i guess my palette is just to refined for even Shroomery, as well as the rest of humanity ...
