And then beat it to a pulp.

A couple years ago I started thinking man, what the fuck is wrong with these people? Bad first impression I guess. Don't get me wrong, there are a few (maybe 10) people on here that I stick around to talk to or get opinions from.

But the vast majority of people on here really just need to get a life. They are by and large arrogant, irresponsible, dim-witted, and generally low-lifes. I don't even know how I feel about tripping too frequently anymore. I see far too many casualties. Not the stereotypical tweak-outs, but degradations into general waste-of-space douchebags. The "other drug" users are obviously the worst of the bunch.

This only applies to maybe 50% of people on here actually. A spectrum.

What shocked me is how many shroomerites have severely eroded, underdeveloped or mostly absent moral values.

Like there was a thread some time ago about stealing from Walmart and other big corps. Something like one in four of us does not consider that stealing or considers it justified because of "sticking it to the man" or other bullshit.

That is so different from the people I meet and interact with in the real world. Or even - want to meet.

Then there was a narking poll. One in five of us blatantly said they would narc out a grower who gave them free weed, to avoid legal trouble because of that free weed found onto their person. A grower. They'd be sending him up the river for years. BLEH.

Don't get me started on the bigotry threads. Many people call people they dont like faggots, things they don't gay, and those fucking racist threads. Thats not just lulz, many of those people are dumbfuck racists defending their point of view. And hippie-hating. What the fuck!!

The Shroomery used to be a place I could let my parents surf and proudly say: "Look, this is what I'm a part of. This is a Psychedelics community".

Now its like a dirty secret. Look around on the www for the Shroomery's reputation. Its a SHIT reputation. I have been on a fucking neonazi forum some time ago and people were better behaved in that fascist shithole than here on the Shroomery.

I've been to several other forums that had a much friendlier atmosphere with kind, helpful people. That used to be the Shroomery too but it is no more.

I'm here because of the people I like over the year, and to help out those who need help with quality information and advice. But screw the trash. Fuck them.

Stick around please. Ive only been on here for a few years, but I have seen the changes you are referring to.
I have a good feeling even that then it wasn't the shroomery's hey-day. There are two things that can be done...
Start a new forum...or work with me to change this one.
I can't imagine this place getting any worse, its in a seriously low trough. But I can imagine it getting better. I don't think people realize how crucial the internet is. How crucial message boards like this can be as well. If used for the right reasons, this place can be incredible. Its a tool like any other. It can be a source of hilarity, and information. But all this stuff can go sour. Like it has.
In a very subtle, but real way, this is an extension of real life. it is real life.
There is a lot of pointless, direction-less nonsense here. I wish it were more possible to post anonymously throughout the whole board.


One prob. with p&s is that some things don't need to be belabored to death. Some things are better said with simplicity. Not everything needs a retort or comeback. or even a...yeah man, thats like so true. Thanks, you killed it.
