Don't bitch about being in jail when you knowingly break the law.  I don't get the confusion.  If you don't like the laws, vote to change them.  If you want to make the laws, go get a law education.  If you want to sit around breaking the law, and then bitching about it, your not helping anyone.

Its perfectly reasonable to bitch about going to jail when your guilty of a non-violent crime or from an unjust law.  Nobody claims that bitching about it is helping anyone.

Eh, yes, jail separates accused criminals from law abiding citizens who have not been caught yet, but the vast majority of "crimes" are never caught, nor are their perpetrators. Just because someone isn't in jail does not mean they are not a criminal. And as even you admit, just because someone is in jail does not mean they are a criminal.

In regards to me having a criminal record, I might, or I might not. It depends on how you define "criminal record". I should have no criminal record due to the decriminalization of the offense I was accused of. Whether or not that is actually the case I have not found it necessary to determine.

A few times, I was a weekend warrior for a couple of months, go in on Friday and get out Sunday.

never.  thank christ for cali pot laws.  went to a mobile drunk tank...does that count?  wasn't jail...just a rec center equipped with mats and gaurds.

I was reading the other thread that suggested most people on this site have gone to jail, and was thinking wtf? yeah right...and then I remembered the multiple occasions I have been there myself.  It's funny, after a while I guess you forget about that shit.

I don't want to go to jail here in France. Jails are overpulated and there are many suicides and "incidents" inside.

Last time some freak was placed with a 20 years old guy. The crazy one ended up killing the young one and trying to eat his heart or something like that. Just because they don't have enough cells to isolate dangerous individuals.

I'd rather be a criminal in another first-world country.

The US prison system is the largest in the world, its basically DIY of how to join a gang, and creates criminal enterprises.  Its pretty fucked up.

Ya I did 5 yrs and it was no picnic...took another year just to readjust to life in the real world....I wouldn't ever want to go back again, 2nd time was enough for me...especially since I had just done 2.5 and was only out for 6 months in the middle...
