been cuffed an in a cruiser, but talked my way out of jail.

jail doesn't separate boys from men. in most cases, it separates idiots from smart people. keep in mind i said most cases. plenty of people have gone even after playing their hand perfectly.

I knew someone would say that exactly.

I think, however, that it takes something like that for people to "wisen up" and not continue being stupid. Many of the people I know who HAVENT gotten busted seem to run the highest risk by not knowing any better.

i definitely agree. i know people who are just outrageously lucky, but will go to jail at some point. i also know people who went in and conducted their illegal business in a much more intelligent fashion after, and never went back.

i'm just that guy who lucked out a few dozen times but realized on my own that unless i got smarter about it, i would go to jail.

gotten cited and had to go to court, but never detained. Even when I was younger and more reckless my personal creed was 'if you are going to do something stupid, be smart about it' and its always worked for me.

did a 6 month sentence a year sentence and 3 years probation and seen a jail cell atleast 5 other times if not 10

I've been inside one. CCTV camera watching me taking a piss, and praying.

I hated it. Locked away on my own, wondering what was going to happen, and no chaplain to tell me pleasing platitudes about remorse and confession and suchlike.

You're seriously crazy if you think that to be the case. Most people are "criminals", many just never get caught doing something serious enough to land them in jail. I've been arrested and in jail, never had to do any time though. I was there long enough to photographed, printed, and post my bond, and to hear that none of the ten or so other people in the cell had any plans to quit as a result of their arrest. Even with that said I still haven't been to court. :smile:
