Personally, I wouldn't feel right asking for donations if I got busted, mainly because I've never been in the position to donate to anyone else's cause.

If you have the means to help, and want to do so, then go for it!

I don't see why it should be a big controversy. It's not like you're being forced to send money. :shrug:

5$, 10$, 20$ big deal. I used to spend a lot more than that on pot on a weekly basis.

I barely ever talked to the guy but he is in a shitty situation having extra dough to spend for the costly legal fees is a big help. :peace:

the OP had a sheet of LSD on him, ecstasy, and 1 other drug i can't remember all in his wallet.  He ditched his wallet, the cops found it with all his id's and credit cards in it.

That is what happened, and obviously some people want to know what happened before donating, and they have a right to know the truth.  Its a bit disrespectful of the OP if he has been going around telling people he did nothign wrong, when he clearly did do something.

Its a bit disrespectful of you to divulge misinformation that could be hurtful to my case.

1/4 sheet (not a full sheet) and a powdered drug that was first identified as cocaine, then identified as heroin(which was in actuality not EITHER drug) was found in a wallet that had one of my cards in it four feet from my person.
I was first charged with public intoxication.
Later I was charged with a needle that was found in the area (far from me) which I had never seen nor touched before and dna tests/fingerprinting could prove that easily.

The cops lied on an affidavit and said I claimed stuff that wasnt mine to begin with (the syringe). They also said I claimed the other drugs and that I did not present my ID. I did not claim anything, and I presented my ID immediately, despite it not being in my wallet which I had lost contact with.

All charges were thrown out besides;
possession of 28 hits of LSD
possession of a syringe
public intoxication

Why do you seem to have a vested interest in discouraging potential donors to MM's cause?

For the record, MM: If I had any money at all, much less extra money, I'd be willing to donate.

I understand that we all slip up to some degree now and then, only some of us end up paying for it.

This situation could have easily been any one of us, and whoever denies this isn't being realistic... we ALL slip up, at some point.

I love you but if you don't agree don't contribute. I tried to help him because I feel he's learned his lesson by being put away already. I was put away for pushing a lamp over and it stayed on my record for five years. I feel for any one who suffers bullshit charges. As I said before, be more careful in the future MM and I'm sorry.

I'm just making sure everyone understands so they can make an educated decision prior to contributing.

Not many agree with the drug war, we can all agree on that.  However his story is hella shady and he's obviously a lier and he has half the shroomery on ignore, and as previously mentioned this money potentially could be aiding a fugitive which could get you all in trouble, purhaps even the shroomery.

MM, I am on your side and I support you. If I had any money I would donate. I am not saying anything bad about anyone else, and every one has their opinions, but I just see a good guy who got fucked over by the law. Sure, maybe you made a few stupid mistakes but that doesn't make it fair and the cops still lied. What was the white powder anyway? If I was you all would of put all the hits in my mouth and kissed the cop fear and loathing style!
