Why are mushrooms legal in some countries and illegal in others?

Some governments legally allow psilocybe mushrooms while others governments have made them a very serious legal matter. It is wise to know the laws of your land.

There have been news articles describing negative experiences with a variety of psychoactive substances including psilocybes. Positive experiences are never reported on the news stations or at authoritative news websites. It may be safe to say in general that wherever drastic experiences take place and some of them are reported as negative, the government will try its best to restrict or prevent the same experience from recurring. A stable society is best from any government\'s perspective.
