I need some help
    #9781084 -

I like techno. I really like techno. But only some techno.

I like the darker, and the more industrial stuff. The really electronic-sounding kind (if you know what I mean) is good too. A Good example is Cobblestone Waltz by Alias and Ehren: Cobblestone Waltz

Also, I'm always down for something trippy

The problem is that I don't really know much about the techno scene. I have no clue who to look for. I need some suggestions regarding what groups to listen to, if you would be so kind. Thanks

Here's a huge archive of some very good techno sets.

I was about to reccomend them.
Heavyweight by Infected Mushroom is a great song, it has a very sort of dark/evil sound to it.

Techno is a subgenre of electronic dance music (EDM) but a lot of people refer to and sort of EDM as techno... like if they hear that classic 4/4 kick beat, they'll probably call it techno - even if it isn't.

Are you really talking about the actual genre of techno which you like? Or are you refering to EDM as a whole? That could help :P

You did mention you like the more industrial stuff though... have you heard of Combichrist? Check them out. They're industrial. No idea if you'd ike them or not, but have a listen anyway

hrmm dark...

you should check out Velvet Acid Christ: "twisted thought generator"  very dark and twisted electronic

also maybe the artist Mind in a Box.  that cobblestone waltz kind of reminds me of it, though MiaB has some incredible vocals.  best ive ever heard in fact.

oh yea.. check out Wumpscut.  'wreath of barbs', 'embryodead',  or 'evoke'

these aren't techno albums but they are dark and saturated electronic music.  might be what you're looking for.
