Yeah, that's what she said.

I comment Mccain for his remarks to the contrary, which were along the lines that "No, Senator Obama is a decent family man whom I just happen to disagree with on several fundamental issues"

I've never hated Johnny Mac, but that was a classy response nonetheless.

And then today...

Quote:
“I want to be president of the United States, and I don't want Obama to be,” he said. “But I have to tell you, I have to tell you, he is a decent person, and a person that you do not have to be scared as President of the United States.”

I wonder what our pet Conservatives will have to say about remarks like this after they pilloried Obama for mentioning in the first debate that he agreed with John on several issues.  That was, in their eyes, a blatant show of unsuitability to the Presidency.  This?  I'm willing to guess not so much.

notice how when McCain says, "No no, no ma'am"  she says, "Oh, he's not?"

McCain made this mess through misguided ads, not to mention downright lies ("Who is Obama?" "Obama, too risky for America").  now he looks like the good guy for trying to calm down the anger and borderline violence.

Christ on a crutch. Exaggerate much, lady? Republican frustration is a drop in the bucket compared to Dem rage. This is such standard Democrat hypocrisy. Screeching in outrage over minor incidents which pale in comparison to their own antics. Antics that are standard, par for the course, accepted and acceptable part of Libbie political "discourse". But let a McCain supporter declare he's angry, and it's the second coming of George Wallace (a Democrat, for those too young to remember). And y'all wonder why no one takes liberals seriously? From John Hinderaker:

Quote:
INSANE RAGE? LOOK IN THE MIRROR

You have to hand it to the mainstream media: they are utterly shameless in their effort to hand this year's election to Barack Obama. The latest MSM theme is "Republican rage." Supposedly, Republicans have become dangerously angry; the evidence is mostly that at McCain/Palin rallies, Barack Obama is sometimes booed!

Wow. How deranged can you get? Of course, John McCain gets booed at Obama rallies, too. But that's different: McCain deserves to be booed. When Republicans boo the reporters' beloved Barack, that's an entirely different phenomenon.

The reporters' favorite example of Republican Rage happened right here in Minnesota, at a McCain rally on Friday. We wrote about it here. My friend and radio partner Chad Doughty was there and posted this report. You can see for yourself the pitiful examples of "rage" that reporters tried to promote from molehill to mountain here.

For those who have observed the lunacy that has gripped the Democratic Party and liberals generally over the last seven years, the idea that we are now witnessing "Republican rage" is laughable. Michelle Malkin does a definitive job of reminding us what hate, rage and lunacy really look like. Rage has been the public face of liberalism for the last seven years.

You really have to go to all the sources linked above to get a full picture of just how laughable the charge of Republican "rage" is. The Michelle Malkin link is especially good, but you really need to check them all.

Here's another great article on this latest bullshit trumped up charge. It's too long and has far too much good stuff for me to even attempt excerpting highlights. It's all highlights. Go there now.

The MSM is so far in the tank for Obama they've got to have their oxygen pumped in. Republican "rage" my ass.

Here's Glenn Reynolds' take on it:

Quote:
NO JUSTICE, NO PEACE? So we've had nearly 8 years of lefty assassination fantasies about George W. Bush, and Bill Ayers' bombing campaign is explained away as a consequence of him having just felt so strongly about social justice, but a few people yell things at McCain rallies and suddenly it's a sign that anger is out of control in American politics? It's nice of McCain to try to tamp that down, and James Taranto sounds a proper cautionary note -- but, please, can we also note the staggering level of hypocrisy here? (And that's before we get to the Obama campaign's thuggish tactics aimed at silencing critics.)

The Angry Left has gotten away with all sorts of beyond-the-pale behavior throughout the Bush Administration. The double standards involved -- particularly on the part of the press -- are what are feeding this anger. (Indeed, as Ann Althouse and John Leo have noted, the reporting on this very issue is dubious). So while asking for McCain supporters to chill a bit, can we also ask the press to start doing its job rather than openly shilling for a Democratic victory? Self-control is for everybody, if it's for anybody. . . .

UPDATE: Well, here's an opportunity to see how they do.

Plus, days of rage.

Again, if you are honestly interested in investigating the facts of this latest faux scandal, click on the links in Glenn's piece. Since I know virtually none of y'all will bother to do that, though, let me reproduce just one of those links - "here's an opportunity" -

Quote:
Booing Obama... Bad.
Booing 6 year-old little girl & daughter of Republican... Good!

All week we've heard about how angry and mean the Republicans are because of 4 or 5 hecklers at the McCain-Palin rallies.
The McCain-Palin campaign has even been compared to well known Democratic racists.

Tonight-- Leftists at the Philadelphia Flyer's game booed Sarah Palin, her daughter Willow, and her 6 year-old daughter Piper as they went on the ice to drop the first puck of the season:

Governor Palin thought the big Democrat city would not boo a 6 year-old. Apparently, she was wrong.

Surely, the liberal media who have been all over the entire "angry" GOP this week for bringing up Obama's close association with terrorist Bill Ayers will condemn these leftist thugs for attacking a 6 year-old little girl?

The New York Times is upset of course... With Sarah Palin.

JWF has a different view.

As always, click the links for more.

I could go on for weeks in this vein, but I've got other things I need to do today, so I'll link one more and stop for now - Anger Double Standard: Only the Left Can Be Angry.

Of all the ridiculous crap the MSM has foisted off on us this election, while ignoring substantive issues because they know those issues are damaging to their chosen one, this "rage" horseshit has got to be at the top of the heap.

Selah.

How can you be sure those were not actually republicans disguised as democrats?

Sports fans in Philadelphia have a well known reputation for booing EVERYBODY. That is what they do there. They even booed Santa Claus at an Eagles game!

If they booed Santa what kind of treatment would you expect a politician to receive?

booing a 6-year old?  that's a big stretch.

they are clearly booing Sarah Palin, and her attempt to use her daughter as a political prop by sticking her in a flyer's jersey, not to mention turning the game itself into a cheap political stunt.

"Pull another 2000" was most likely in reference to the Supreme Court's decision in Bush v. Gore to stop counting votes in Florida.  At least I think this is what pinkfloyd meant; it has nothing to do with popular votes, Prisoner.

Really? A classy move?  John McCain has spent darn near every dollar of T.V. advertising money crying about the "dangerous", "dishonorable", "terrorist" that "is" Obama, and people are surprised that Republican Loyalists are worked up into this kind of frenzy?

Give me a break.  The simple truth is either McCain was lying in his adds, or he was lying in his "defense" of Obama.  McCain's conduct in this election has been shameful, and no amount of staged holyier-than-thou rhetoric is going to change that.
