Are you still allowed to have like 5 marijuana plants per household?

I got fucked over by my landlord when I tried to grow and I've heard of other people having the same problem. Apparently you're only allowed to grow if you don't use lights, which is a ridiculous rule in a country like Holland where you're happy if you get more than one hour of sunlight a day.

Yes but if you immediately get rid of your plants and let them seize your equipment there is no problem. Expensive joke but not much legal consequence otherwise. But yeah it's ridiculous.

Policemen are so lenient though, just letting you go even when you have baggies and scales in your car...

You're a criminal for your actions, not your beliefs.
Maybe your poor understanding of the judicial system is why you're experiencing some confusion.

It's kind of difficult to live in Holland and be left alone. It's a densely populated part of the country, after all. It's possible to live a bit more isolated in other parts of The Netherlands, but not so much in Holland.
