Air comes out of my mouth. That is all. Seriously, being able to whistle would be badass. I've been trying my whole life.

I dont want to brag -- but i'm fucking king-shit whistler.  I whistle at least 2hr a day (intermittently), and can do all sorts of tunes.  I generally practice by whistling solo's over whatever dead song I happen to be listening to

I'm going to start a one-man band someday soon where it's just me: accordion + whistle

You gotta position it close to the roof of your mouth.

The air has limited room to escape when you breath out and that makes the whistle.

I do exactly the same. Whenever I'm at my job I need to pass the hours doing something.

But yea, whistling cannt be learned or understood. It can only be experienced.

I can whistle just fine but my dad can whistle louder than ANYBODY I've meet. He whistles with his 2 pinkies and can easily be heard over large crowds.

I'll do my best to explain how to whistle...

Purse your lips together in a small "O" shape as if you were going to hit a joint.
Move your tongue in the back of your mouth toward the roof of your mouth as if you were making a "-ck" sound like as in "Cat"  Keep your tongue in the "-ck" position.
Gently blow air out of your mouth and gradually adjust the position of your tongue and the strength of your breath until you hear a note...

Hope that helps
