"A Starry Night"

What’s up?

What’s up? I would first like to say that I enjoyed reading a lot of everyone’s submission stories, and they are all very unique and interesting. Some of them even crazy!!! It’s great reading how people try to put their experiences in writing. For those of you who have never shroomed before, trying to explain it is like trying to explain how water tastes. I have tried many drugs and had many experiences with “E”, LSD, marijuana and even cocaine. I could easily tell you about every single experience detail for detail. But I’m already thinking how I am going to explain this one and…. Well, here it goes….

Who: me and 4 close friends (Including my Boyfriend of 2 yrs.)
What: Shrooms of course!!
Where: Beach at night
When: Really fucking late (o.k. around 1:00 a.m. if you must know)
Why?: Because we can

The 5 of us split 3 1/8’s of some really good dried psilocybe cubanis around 1:30 a.m. and smoked a bowl and sat in the sand and waited. I have done shrooms once before during the day, and I was really looking forward to seeing what tonight would be like. All in all, I was starting to feel that familiar “tingle” or surge of happiness. I was probably just really stoned, but that’s besides the point.

By 2:30 a.m., I saw the first hints of the beauty and wonder that were to come. I looked up at the sky, and it was the most beautiful looking sky I have ever seen at night. My mind knew it was dark outside, but my eyes saw differently. The sky had an aura all around it. It had a certain glow to it that I can’t explain. This was only the beginning. I must have stared up at the stars for over an hour. All of us were. By this time, the glow turned into magnificent bursts of color. The sky was as if it was opening up and swallowing me in. But I wasn’t afraid at all. I felt like a part of it. I couldn’t even feel my body. I was sitting in the sand, yet it felt as if I was floating into the sky and everything was so clear and bright.

After a while, my boyfriend suggested we smoke a bowl, and go walking around a bit. We had been to this beach many times camping before, and knew of some caves along the coast. So off we went, and slowly but surely we made our curious little way into each cave like little children. We took some flashlights and started making faces in the light of the shadows. Images of our shadows were bouncing off the walls of the cave like demons or spirits. The walls were breathing heavily with us, and we could hear the waves in the distance. I think being at the beach and hearing the waves gave us a sense of calm throughout our trip.

Eventually, we started walking back. By now, we are 2 ½ hours into our trip and I am starting to really peak. I suddenly ran ahead of everyone and threw myself in the sand and dug my toes and hands deep into the beaches sands. It felt great I saw images of faces in the sand, mostly outlines of faces, but they were still human faces. I was so happy to be outside and in the open. My boyfriend and our friends sat beside me, where we stayed for the next 2 or 3 hours it seems. I really can’t begin to describe all the beauty I saw that night, but it was a very different trip from my first, but I had one of the best night’s and experiences o my entire life!!! I can’t wait to try it again next year!!!!

I hope I have conveyed this story to you in a way that you can understand. I guess you can never truly understand until you experience it yourself.
