3g golden teacher with a friend

In the oaks many years ago

I had tripped a few times before this on some random cubensis strain last winter, but nothing over 2g so this was quite the leap. Keep in mind these were quite strong golden teachers at around .8ish. My friend had never done mushrooms before and I was apprehensive to give him such a high dose to start but he insisted he could handle it. Around 11:15 we began our hike in the oak preserve near our houses. The ferns and ivy were a deep green from the rain of a few days ago, and the poison oak was a beautiful light red. The deep gold color of the fallen oak leaves contrasted nicely with the overcast sky. Around 11:30 we found a spot in the ivy and began prepping the mushrooms. We tore them up and put them into cups then added the lemon juice. We waited 10 minutes from then and dosed at 11:45. I put on innerspeaker by tame impala as I came up and sank into the ivy. Around 12:15 the peak began. I put on the weather by pond. The ivy was shifting and growing in front of our eyes and the usual complex patterns appeared on my black pants. As we looked up to the oaks, the bark morphed and folded in on itself turning into beautiful hues of purple, grey, and brown.  I looked down into the golden oak leaves littering the forest floor and thought to myself how incredible it was that each leaf came from a tree that had probably been alive longer than i had. I deeply appreciated the complexity of nature and how much was happening in any given area of the preserve. Around 1:30 a little after the peak had ended and the trip leveled out, we decided to get up and walk around. I put on RMCM by richy mitch and the coal miners. We somehow got a little lost in the small area of the preserve and my friend started to get a little worried so we decided to make our way to his car so he could chill out a little. As we hiked along a river bed, we saw some kind of shack with terracotta pottery outside the door. It was a little weird and reminded me of a gnomes house from some fairly tail. As we continued walking another wave hit us and we lost the trail a little bit. Thankfully we didn’t walk through much poison oak and we didn’t stray far from the trail. Eventually we made it to the car around 2:30. We sat and tried to eat sandwiches for like half an hour. Eating felt like a chore even though the sandwiches were pretty good. I knew i was hungry and i knew i should eat, but it was just really difficult. After we had chilled out a bit, we set out to walk again at like 3:00. Around this time the trip started to fade away a little and continued to slow down until around 5:00. Once we were sober, we retraced our steps and talked about what we got from the trip and how we felt about it. Overall it was a nice positive day in nature and my friend and i had enjoyed ourselves. As we were  walking the path we took a few hours before, we couldn’t help but laugh at how long it took us to make it to the car compared to when we were sober. We left the oak preserve at 6:00. I am happy i was able to share that experience with my friend and that he was able to have a good experience on psychedelics for his first time. He handled himself very well and stuck with it. This was the most intense trip i had ever had, and if it was my first time tripping i would have probably freaked myself out a lot more than he did. I also really enjoyed my music picks and i dont think i really could have picked better albums for how i was feeling that day and the environment we were in. We plan to trip again in a few weeks on some hillbillies i got from a friend who knows a friend. We will probably do around 2g cause the guy says this batch is fairly strong.
