First Trip Report 07/31/21

The bad trip that turned into the most incredible experience

My first few shroom trips were very enjoyable, all sitting at 3.5g of penis envy. Music felt right, the shows I was watching felt right, overall just nice experiences. July 31st, I decided to take another 3.5g of the same penis envy I had left from previous trips. Like plenty of others, I've never really enjoyed the taste of shrooms, but I eat them raw to keep the trip level and lasting a good amount of time. About an hour in after first eating the shrooms, I was fully prepared for the worst. Music made me more nauseous, the temperature felt cold, the lighting in my room and outside was off (overcast), and the sounds outside made me start to freak out a bit more (crows and sirens). The nausea was hitting me in force, and it took everything in my power to not sprint to the bathroom. I laid in bed doing nothing, just laying underneath my blanket and trying not to freak out, even as the visuals started to get weirder and weirder. About an hour and a half in, something changed. I felt that I was just riding out the trip when I needed to keep changing it up. Most people say that you should just let the trip take you where you need to go, but in this case it was the opposite. Every time a wave of a bad mindset or nausea hit me, I switched to something else. This made my trip into a whole different experience, something I had never enjoyed with my previous trips. I felt an overwhelming sense of awe, like the world was a painting, and everything blended perfectly, both in visual and physical senses. About two hours in, I opened my laptop and opened up a youtube video. The video I decided on was: TIMELAPSE OF THE FUTURE: A Journey To The End Of Time by melodysheep. (I will include the video link at the end of the report) This video is fantastic, extremely eye opening, and incredibly sad. It made me realize just how insignificant we really are in the grand scheme of things. There is no end to space, or time (contrary to the title of the video). Everything exists and will continue to exist way beyond the end of the human race. I felt a new understanding of time and the universe, and understood that the human race is only a blip on the timeline of the infinite. Our understanding of the universe will never be complete unless we could somehow attain immortality both physically and spiritually. Petty arguments over who's god is better, who's politics are better, and who is more superior mean nothing. Even in the sadness this video inspired, I found an extreme sense of peace and comfort in it. Knowing that no matter the little things we experience day to day, time will go on, the universe will continue to change, and there isn't a thing we can do about it. The universe doesn't care for our hardships, so why should we? All we can do is try to enjoy every single moment we have, and savor the time we have, because unlike the infinite, it doesn't last forever. What started off as what very well could have been a horrible trip became the most incredible experiences I could have ever hoped for. Let me know what you guys think about this report, and anything I can improve upon in describing my experiences. I wish you all fulfilling lives, and inspiring trips.
