white suburban america... w/ lsd - kinda long - The Pub

just remembered this from when i tripped last wednesday...

backdrop: so i'm from the burbs, lots of wealth around me, my parent's are wealthy in a nice neighborhood, etc. etc.

recently a guy i went to high school w/ (that still is in high school) mom died (fucked up reason too that i won't get into). Well a day or so after my trip i was talkin to a girl i met that also dated him for over a year... well she started tellin me about how he's been eatin cid a lot (sometimes at school, and i went/he goes to a pretty strict catholic all male high school), mushrooms, xannies, molly etc. etc.

idk, it just fucked w/ my head that this kid that was so talented in everything, handsome, seemingly secure, but most of all genuinly nice and sincere could be one way one day, and like this in what felt like a week (been about a month or so though). herein lies the problem... how do u stop kids w/ money, connections and a few probs. from fuckin their life up even more when they get down sometimes?

i felt sick when i was hearin about this and i wanted to blame someone for it but i don't even know where to point a finger... i want to say gov't for making it illegal, forcing kids underground while trying to deal w/ probs while having access to things that are taboo in society (and it seems like they think can help, or at least ease the pain)

i'll be calling him here someday soon to talk to him... but i just don't even know what to say really... i like the kid a lot and he's from right up the street from where i grew up so he feels like fam and i just want to help...

I wish they would teach you in school what drugs CAN do...how they can help and when they CANT help, but i know that would never work unless it was me doing the teaching, someone w/ honesty and integrity and EXPERIENCE, one who would actually try to show them that drugs can help with some things but that other things must be dealt w/ with a sober mind

i figured i wouldn't go anywhere with this, i just wanted to post it for someone sittin at work bored to read (like me)-plus it felt like there was so much more too it then, but i guess that was cause i had just tripped and was still mentally "sensitive"
