birth-defect?

So my jars took a long time, month and a half, to colonize. I finally birthed two this morning. I am not sure if they are contaminated. The section of the PF cake that was near the jar lid and that had colonized first had shrank a lot and was a pale yellow or brown. The rest of the cake(bottom of the jar/furthest from teh jar lid/last to colonize) was a healthy white and had not shrank much. I am not sure if the top part was just dried out from taking so long to colonize. It did not smell bad at all. My camera couldnt take any good pictures or i would post. Some one tell me what may have happend or if any of you have experienced the same.

i saw this recently in a post from a new member called rubber.

i don't know what happened to that jar, but he was trying to get it to fruit.

we speculated that it was probably either alot of myc piss, or really bad drying/overlay.

have you done a dunk 'n roll?
