Looking forward to humiliation of the dea/government
    #13190243 -

It seems that every day theres another article going against prohibition even in the mainstream media..... There's still propaganda but I feel like it's slowly dying out and the people in the DEA administration are probably starting to get weary.

First off the dea officials are trying to lobby against prop 19. Second, i think there was new today that the dea don't even release their dispensary raids as press releases anymore.

It's cool to see their bullshit war crumbling slowly day by day.  I just hope all you fuckers in Cali vote for this shit.

same

my friends who read NORML etc claim that polls show a clear bias towards legalization in the state
my parents who read the NYT and watch the news claim the opposite

bottom line is we have no f*ckin' clue what's gonna happen in november

Well, it could still be years off till something happens, but i think its all up to prop 19 right now. If that shit passes the press and government are gonna have a field day.

it's public record, anyone can do a FOIA request and get it, the news
services are the ones that arent carrying it, they're trying to help
the democrats remain in power, trying to make it look like obama kept
his promises about dispensaries... I havent heard much about his plan to
make drug offenses a health issue as opposed to a criminal one

John Stewart may not be in CA, but one of the other guys might end up going.  I can see it now...
"John Oliver!"
"Duuuuuuude!  Prop 19 ROCKS!" *he's lounging & holding a freshly-rolled joint*
"That's a fake joint, right?  Are you just sitting in front of the green screen?"
"*BLEEEEEEEEP* no!  I'm in a hotel in <insert city>, John!" *camera pans around the smokey room*  "I had an idea for the on-camera piece, but then we had some special brownies for lunch, needless to say it's funnier than I thought, check it out, John..." *describes a somewhat humorous skit, causing a perplexed look on John Stewart's face*
"OOooookaaay....must've been a 'had to be there' kinda deal..."
"Maybe...say, what color tie-dye should I get, I can't decide..."
".....we'll be right back..."  :rofl2:

Dude, please vote for that shit!

Is it the taxes thing? Or what? I'm tempted to donate to their campaign, even though I don't even live in your country. The bill isn't perfect, but its a pretty good step in the right direction and the feds will be forced to re-evaluate their stance on the drug war, or at least spectacularly fail at trying to defend it.

Canadian drug policy is not going to change until USA does, which infuriates me, but its true. Let's keep the good momentum going..
