Shroomery Papercraft

So recently I have been checkin out the world of papercraft and all the cool shit you can make with it. The first thing I made was a Anonymous V mask for general use when I need to remain anonymous. :hehehe: It was simple probably took a hour to construct, and you can spray it with different things(fiberglass) to harden it to give it a real feel. People have printed whole entire Master Chief(Halo) suits in this way.



From researching it all I found a program call Pepakura that takes 3D files and converts them to allow you to print them with folds and flaps. I have some experience with 3D Studio Max so I decided to brush up and make a Shroomery papercraft logo. It has been a big pain in the ass trying to keep the 3D model simple enough to print in fold in under 1hr-1/2 to 2hr's. Here is my first draft. Came out pretty good cept the large folding lines on cap, and my golden cap didnt turn out as golden as I hoped, but w/e. I spent all night on it so I'm pretty tired, but if peeps like it I'll work on getting a easy 3page papercraft model uploaded for others to construct.
Editing the colors of the shroom is easy too, so you can make it look like whatever mushie is your fav. :awesome:

I magic markered the top to make it look more golden. Everything looks alot more centered now. :thumbup:

Ok :cool:, so I finished the final work, and refined everything to make it as simple as possible. I did the cap this time as Amanita Muscaria(:thumbup:) and faded the stem from brownish to white like a real shroom looks, plus made the box smaller. Here's the 3 files you will need if anyone wants to make their own. The whole thing takes about an hour to construct, and all you will need is glue(preferably super glue) and scissors or Exacto knife. You can also shop the cap to change the appearance if you'd like. Have fun! :smile: (please rate if you like.)

Construct Files: (if the gills are a pain trim the center and it will fit)

Its like a small little Shroomery trophy.

This is way fucking cool, I'm definitely going to make me an amanita to put next to my bonsai tree.

:awethumb: Thanks Arcanum. I used to have to shop all my posters like that myself. I used to make a little doh when there used to be a niche market on Ebay for posters like that, easy to ship, but yea, the ink is the down side.

Yeah, tyvek is good for wallets! The only problem is it's sort of slippery. I need to have a wallet that SEALS. Velcro or zippers is a must for me... hehehe.
