i hear that. i absolutely love chicks with foreign accents. but i was just making a crack at the holier-than-thou sort of attitude we Americans are perceived as having by people throughout the world.

i saw a little political cartoon the other day. the setting was a little outdoor cafe in france. two people were sitting at a table. two very touristy looking people came up and were like "excuse me. we're Americans. would you please give us your table?" your comment made me think of that. then i chuckled.

i haven't met any americans here except a few brief encounters:

one was in a club, me and friends went there in the afternoon to drink a few beers and this black guy enters. around here you see a black person maybe once or twice a year, dunno why. anyway i was drunk and went to pee and the door was locked. i waited outside and then the black dude comes out (he's in some estonian basketball team i think) and says "that means it's locked..."

the other american is an exchange student in my friends class. she's a catholic or something, doesn't swear or drink. she doesn't sound like too much fun so i haven't bothered to check her out. at least i heard she learned estonian pretty well so props.
