Are you supposed to take the shell off of pistachios?

yeah i know you're supposed to take the hard one off.

but are you supposed to take the flaky inner one off?

or is it a personal preference?

i just don't want to eat them if they're going to hurt when i shit them out or something.

i ate a whole bowl of them too and i have since taken a dump. My report is that it does not hurt. Also i think the inner treebark shell tastes great.

i love eating watemelon seeds with the hard shall!
or even sunflower seeds with the shell sometimes...
i never bother cracking punmpkin seeds!

they all come out safely on the other side :tongue:

Oh you can, as long as you do it immediatly. They get too mushy to do so after a minute or so of being in your mouth. I like them either way, cracked or whole.
