Transplanted seedlings without separating them first.
The 1/2 Life shape was a coincidence.

Need a crowbar, and a few shots & rounds before Black Mesa 🍺🍸

Got my first flower a few weeks ago!
It only opened for 2 days and dried up. I did move some pollen around in it hoping to get some seeds. It also looks like the same one has another flower popping up too.

Quick questions, do the loph grow faster when grafted to a san Pedro or trich then they do on pereskiopsis? Any way to degraft from peri and regraft to trich if they do?

The bigger the stem the more can flow through.
But it will be hard grafting them now on trichos. If you look under the peyote you see that pereskiopsis stem is reaching far into it. You would have to cut it in half to graft on a trich. But I saw some Thai growers bundle together 5 or 6 pereskiopsis and basically stick it in there.

Super stoked for ya!! I really want to see the flowers on mine. How old are those? Mine are close to 1.5 on graft. And nothing up to this point. I did move them all outside for the summer and they got a bit cooked. Looking really good 👍

@Grimsweeper oh heck yeah, right on brother!
Gotta love the fanciness with decorative homes for your lovely-Lophs!:peyotebutton:

@MorningW. Give it more time my friend, mine seem to bloom when they're
roughly 2 inches diameter.

Anyone else notice sometimes it seems, no matter what stock, it
SORTA seems like grafted scions seem a bit slower(?) :ooo: rather than
being on their own roots?

I have never actually measured them. So I just went and did.

These all are from mixed seeds. Northern and southern. They were actually done after my northern. But are way chunkier!

These are my northern. Several are getting about that size. I thought they were a little bigger. Recovering from a little to much sun

And the cresty one!

That's what I was thinking. I do have a few with pups on the side so I could probably pop them off and graft them.

The one with the flower is about a year grafted but it's like 2 years old. Tbh I lost track. I grew them from seed and they weren't getting that big compared to others so I decided to graft them. They've really started to grow since then. I got another flower on the same one that should be open 100% tomorrow!

Mine flowering was also grafted onto san pedro about 2-3 years ago.
At about 1.5 years it would occasionally flower, now its been flowering non stop
since spring.

So, I've been talking about my loph's getting chewed on. I have been keeping a humidity dome on them. Even at over a year. The growth has just been wild compared to ones not under dome. I do leave it off sometimes after watering to let them air out. But something was chewing on them. I set a mouse trap. Never caught anything. They are on the third shelf of a wire rack in a room my cats hang out in. So I was puzzled. I have been keeping the done on lately to keep whatever out.

I went to spray them with some water and something bigger jumped!! I had sealed the fucker in there😒

So I threw the dome back on and took it outside to squash this bastard!! Im not exactly sure what it is, but glad it's dead!!

And I made my brother some grafts for his birthday

took some cuttings yesterday from a graft.  a couple of these were trimmed back early last year, in the way modern describes in his proof of concept video,  and they've grown back just fine.  maybe not as quickly as he describes his recovery time, but they are still under 2 years recovering.

A few of my little babies. These guys struggled a bit at first when they were baby seedlings but I'm now seeing more consistent growth.
