Shrooms in the morning

I just wanted to make sure before I go waste some time... does mushrooms come up in the morning and dry up by the end of the day? Its about 4 AM here and In a couple of hours I'm going to go rummage through a local field for some finds,, just wanted to know the daily cycle of the mushroom. Thanks.

If in the sunlight, and the humidity is low, the caps will dry, and lighten in color within 10 hours.
Mostly this process takes a couple days, though.
And who cares if they dry out a little? You can hunt them in the morning or evening... seriously .

Well the main reason that I'm going in the early morning is because I don't want to be caught tresspassing. I'm just making sure because I didn't want to go there without any finds. It's just some random field too, hopefully something good will come up. I heard Cubes are all over the Florida Cow shit, so we'll see.

Cubes are hearty mushrooms. They don't melt during the day.
Inky caps melt during the day, but it's not due to heat. They digest themselves.
Again, the life of a cube is probably 3,4, maybe 5 days I guess. Florida is booming right now, and if they are there, they will be there regardless of temps.

hell yeah florida is booming...got a nice harvest. found a great way to dry them up,(not a new methow but ive never used it before) i put them in a shoe box with paper towels lining the inside.I then ripped up all the shrooms into semi thin long peices and poked some holes for ventilation in the shoe box. within hours they were already drying up nice. the blue on some of these babies were amazing. i was wondering if the amount of blue and if the blue is dark or light makes a diff. in potency?
