Word reached me that a new radiohead album is being released in spring of '06. Apparently its supposed to be more like kid A, which is good news considering their last album sucked.
anyone else have more info on it?

go to greenplastic.com , but i dont think there gonna write any new material soon cause they all have families to attend to and there tired of touring. Thom has been playing some random solo shows, but im guessing they will write new shit when they need money lol

At Ease Web
That site covers all Radiohead news. I loved Hail to the Thief, there isn't a Radiohead album I don't love...except maybe Pablo Honey actually.
They didn't say the album was going to be "more like Kid A," Thom Yorke said that it would be a similar departure from where they are now in the way that Kid A was a completely unexpected direction to go in after OK Computer. That doesn't mean anything about its sound or anything.

oh. they spend all those years creating acoustic music and then all of a sudden this glorious album, kid a, just blows everything out of the water, then amnesiac as another awesome electronic album, and just when you think their going to top themselves again they revert back to the shitty acoustic stylings of hail to the theif, which in my opinion was much worse than OK computer, maybe a step above the bends.
they were so talented with electronic music, it would be a shame if they didnt go back to it in their next album.

cool. thanks.
so this link is suggesting that all of his electronic equipment is hooked up to his guitar?
somehow i dont think that is correct. this may be his guitar setup, but ive seen him playing with alot of knobs and switches, and particularly this box with a red screen and crosshairs that he moves his finger across.
thats the info im lookin for.

in songs that dont require a guitar at all he uses alot of effect/sample gear on stage. That box he has his finger on is a awesome tool i used to have its called a Korg kp2 kaoss pad. just by loving your finger on the screen it changes pitch, delay and all kind of shit. He used that alot in Kid_a, he would work on it while its made Thoms voice all crazy. Holds samples, and it has a messload of effects, works with just about any instrament.
But the link i gave you before is just jonnys guitar gear and effects.

hahaha, just caught this as i was reading back over. i totally understand, and i hear it alot. people who say ok computer is their favorite dont truly understand what radiohead is about. kid A was an expression of the psyhcedelic subconcious. shit, just look at what goes through your head when you trip on psychdelics listening to kid A (cept for optimistic, the pop song of kid a), its fucking incredible.
but hey, its better people like ok computer than sphongle or some other rave music.
P.S> pm'd you.

I liked their last album, but I can see how others wouldn't like it. it's all over the place. It's like they tried to mesh their rockiness, experiementalism, and psychedelic shit all in one album.
Kid A is my fav... with the bends and ok computer in a close second...
i dunno... fucking hard trying to pick a favorite radiohead album
the bends sucks? daer god??? High and Dry has gotta be one of the best songs of all time. Planet telex? Fake plastic trees? Bones?
The next person to say that the bends sucks... I'm going to punch you in the mouth!
The bends BSIDES is awesome too.. its been sitting in que in soulseek for weeks.. trying to download it. If anyone has it on mp3... I'll give you access to my ftp site.

I saw them on the tour after hail to the thief at merriwether in Columbia... tickets in the center of the stadium were going between 50-100 a piece... I managed to get two tickets for 40 bucks off of ebay from this couple that couldnt find a babysittier.. HOLY SHIT they were good tickets.. right smack in the CENTER of the stadium in a row that was JUST above this camera area so there weren';t any rows in front us... probably the best seats in the house
Definately one of the best concerts I've ever been too. Too bad the vendors price gauged us (12 bucks for a crappy heineken!!!!)

Tripped on mescaline last time I saw them. Greatest night of my life. It just seemed to go on and on forever unlike when I saw them straight and was too anxious to really enjoy it. Planning a shroom trip when I see sigur ros in a few weeks. Should be glorious.

i'd consider myself a huge radiofan. actually, my favourite album is the bends, with kid-a as a close second, and ok-computer&amnesiac coming in third.
eagerly awaiting this new release...
