no. i have no such issues and that is not the basis for the ban.

and it's not me that has the distorted view, for sure. its the .6% and the supporters. no matter how you spin it, if you are born a boy and become a woman to marry a boy, you aint fucking right in the head.

and that goes for any alt-gender, i dont want to be labeled racist or something for not including them.

Yes, and he was part of SEAL Team 6, the elite unit which got Osama.  He wasn't part of the actual SEAL Team 6 operation that killed/captured Osama, but it is regarded as elite compared to the other SEAL team units, which says a lot that he was once a member.

I really hate politics, I do, I have some very strong dislikes for both sides of the aisle, particularly those who are so blinded by their ridiculous loyalty to their political party -- you know the ones who think that everything their party does is right and everything the other party does is wrong no matter what

But as far as this goes, I don't get the problem. If you can soldier, you can soldier. Maybe it's not quite as simple as that...or maybe it is. I don't know. But if you're trans, straight, gay, bi, black, white, Hispanic, Asian, or fucking purple what does it matter so long as one wants to enlist and serve their country in that capacity?

I agree.  I was in the NAVY during the "don't ask, don't tell" era, and I never had issue with anyone who wasn't a straight white man, as I am.  There are jobs to do, and anyone can do them as far as I am concerned.

The people who have a problem with trans people serving are usually religous(and dumb).  So much of any anti-trans sentiments are fueled directly by bigoted, ignorant Christians and Catholics.

That's stupid.  The military barely takes care of vets beyond encouraging them to commit suicide.  The cost isn't a major issue.

Well, that seems to be their rationale and it made sense to me at face value. Maintaining a TG-transitioned lifestyle can require hormone supplement therapy which the military may be expected to pay for. At least that is what I understood. Do you think that they actually have other motives?

How so? Should we kick out all the guys who can't get a boner and cost the military $85 million a year? Maybe we should get rid of all the women since they can potentially get pregnant at any minute. Also get rid of women because the only way to keep them from getting pregnant is paying for birth control.

Certainly the best way to save money is kick out everyone who has gender issues. They can take the skills and training the government paid for to the private sector and we can train a whole bunch of new people at government expense and hope that they don't ever get a boner problem:0
