Dunno much about snails but Slugs have a noticible preference from my outdoor ethno plants esp poppies.

Dont get me started on Caterpillars. I fucking hate those bastards.

Hi Fleadh,
thanks for the reply.

Can you please make me a list of your species eaten by the slugs? They eat them where and in which period of the plant life?

Thanks,
Fabio

My garden doesnt have very many ethnos outside (not great weather in ireland)and I normally use slug pellets most of the time. They eat anything with low down leaves like Popies, Leuttice, Cabbage, etc. They also had a munch on my passiflora incanarta.

Most animals/critters/insects/mollusks spend their whole life seeking psychedelics. It's in their nature. They know what they're doing

They'll eat the tips off your Trichocereus if given the chance.

Slugs bite lots of holes on my salvias. I believe the growing conditions are favor by slugs and snails as well since Salvias are moisture and shade loving plants.

i get slugs in my outdoor mushroom patch, i have put salt around the perimeter of the patch, i have also put some copper wire around the patch and this seems to have done the trick.
i have also found these slugs on my san pedro, so i sprinkled some salt around it and they have not been back, im not sure if these methods are the best they are just inexpensive, the garden shops will probably have all sorts of snail slug repellents that work really well too. the weather is getting warmer here so it could be the hot sunny days that have dried all of them fuckers up.

I heard banana peels are good bait just remove it on early morning and throw it down the trash with all the slugs. I notice there are lots of snail trail on the peel after my mom left it by accident.

I had a slug munch a few small pups off of a grafted Loph not long back. I found a dead slug about a foot away from it and always like to think that that slug tripped balls and od'd on the mesc.

snails and caterpillars have at one point eaten every species of plant i grow....no exceptions...they are fucking MAD.

i think poisons must affect them differently than to use cause they have eaten some down right nasty, toxic fucking plants!

you should expect them to eat anything you grow, then you wont ever be shocked.

Banana peel is good bait but I find melon peel/rind the best bait....
Just leave it out over night, in the morning salt the buggers!

I found you need LOTS of salt to kill them. I tried to use fertilizer in fear of sodium poisoning of my plants.
