allright...first and foremost:
'false rhyme' isa very common thing in limericks
(and is perfectly acceptable in most cases)

2)
there's no set number of sylables that limericks are *supposed to* have
(it all comes down to proper structure, and corresponding sylable placement)

and finally...D)
'word tweaks' are also something limericks are infamous for
(I can dig up a dozen samples right now of famous limericks that do exactly that)

I know that, but I'd like to hear someone get past the "The original account got lost" line smoothly.

False rhyme is weak and you know it. It's as big a throwaway as Godfather III.:crankey:  Muppet does not rhyme with fuckit, as much as you want it to, sorry.

yeah...I'll admit that that one was a sloppy line that was only 'acceptable' because the following line was cut short - the idea being that the two lines together would still roughly equate out to be what 'sounds right' (the timing would just be a little odd)

and 'muppit' is still close enough to 'fuckit' to get the job done
(especially considering some of the other 'word twists' I've heard from much more famous poems)








besides - it's not like anything major's going on with all of this anyways

might I remind you this is just a coupla random people fucking around ona message forum  :wink:
