Sterilizing the Spore Syringe...

Well i have a quick question, do i need to sterilize the spore syringe even if its straight from the package and the first time its going to be used? Also if i do, is the flame from a stove cooker alright?

It's always a good idea to heat it up before inoculation, i was just bein sarcastic it doesn't really matter what kinda flame you use. :tongue:

Yeah, just use a small falme of any kind to kill any contaminants that may be resting the in needle itself. You dont have to but every bit of sterilization when growing helps. Good luck with your grow!

I use cig lighter, and then wipe it down w/alcohol on a paer towel..

I was wondering about the sterilization process too. do I have to use a flame? is it alright if I just get some cotton swabs with a dash of rubbing alcohol and wipe down the needle with it?

flame isnt necessary but it helps. probably wont have problems with just alcohol
