Greece should have told the EU to fuck off years ago and go back to their own currency, the Greek citizens have suffered needlessly for too long because of this BS.

It would have gone bankrupt years ago. The Greek economy has been almost entirely dependent on European funds for 20 years. The only thing that can help Greece at this point, it seems to me, is postponing the payment of debts and interest for at least 5 or 10 years, allowing the country to create something like an economy without having to deal with a huge and permanent outflux of capital that they don't have, but need to invest in economic reform. The alternative, i.e. having Greece pay back loans and interests as is currently the plan, is simply unbearable for the country. Either way, there's very little chance that Europe is going to see much of its money coming back from Greece and it's out of the question that they'll ever pay back the full amount.

They should default on the debt and start over with their own currency, the new currency will be dirt cheap and since tourism is one of the key aspects to the Greece economy they would be booming in no time.

Before you know it (5-10 years), the new currency would increase in value and life would go on, this idea of trying to payback the unpayable is beyond silly, debt slavery for the next 50-100 years, fuck that!!

Yes, this. Funny how you on the right and me on the left arrive at exactly the same conclusion.

"you on the right"

I'm not on the right in my opinion. I dislike both sides equally.

so are they saying that the europeans are snobs and only the wealthy can be a
part of the union, isnt that so liberal of them... why dont they just help poor
little greece out a little, maybe pump some more money into the greek welfare
state, surely those wealthy germans can afford to give a little

It won't be the EU that kicks Greece out.  It will be Greece leaving.  They have already proven themselves to be bums.  I wouldn't invest a farthing in that socialist shithole.  And they haven't learned a thing.  They are the idiot child of Europe.
