Plexi-Glass Flowhood

Hey guys,

  I just finished doing all the solvent welds for my custom plexi-glass flowhood. I'm real excited that it's so close to being finished, and I think it looks sexy so I thought I'd share!





 
  I've got some GLC vacutainers of a few PC strains that are getting on the old side. I'm hoping to successfully re-invigorate them onto some agar, But the agar transfers I've tried in the past weren't successful - so I'm hoping with my new gadget I'll be able move forward on that.

  I'll post more pictures once I have the Camfil filter I bought installed and my powersupply hooked up.

P. S. And thanks to everyone on the board for all the info, this really is a rare community. I've learned so much here. I don't usually post, but I've spent a lot of hours browsing these boards.

I love plexiglas I made so much shit out of plexiglas when I used to be able to get it for nearly free.

Plexi is pretty sweet. For some reason I couldn't wrap my mind around using wood for something related to sterile procedure. It definitely came with a price tag, but I do enjoy working with it.


How'd you swing dirt cheap plexi?

I worked at a place that sold and used it for manufacturing.
