If you want to get into gangster shit start a business that doesn't involve OCD people.
Business is the most cut throat thing there is!

Wow, thank you. your comment was so helpful. What are you like a 13 yr old kid?
Edit: damnit

No seriously, want to get in that lifestyle, even the gangsters today though somewhat poserish and niggerish. They're still IN the lifestyle. Work your way up, start staying on the street and getting known.

His life is awesome for a decade or two, and then it's terrible. He ends up living the exact life you're trying to avoid. He's a nervous fucking wreck and a drug addict. The last line in the movie is "I'm an average nobody. I get to live the rest of my life like a schnook." Not to mention the countless people that died pretty horrible deaths.

I guess it depends on your perspective and taste.

What depends on that? His life ends up being miserable, that's the entire point. So, sticking to the world it takes place in, even if you got his life (which may or may not happen, you could just end up dead at 25) it still isn't all good drugs and fun times.

  This is exactly what I was thinking as I scanned this thread.  It's the same kind of thinking as all the people who watch Scarface and think that Tony Montana has the perfect life to emulate.  You missed the point.

“Strengthened by contemplation and study,
I will not fear my passions like a coward.
My body I will give to pleasures,
to diversions that I’ve dreamed of,
to the most daring erotic desires,
to the lustful impulses of my blood, without
any fear at all, for whenever I will—
and I will have the will, strengthened
as I’ll be with contemplation and study—
at the crucial moments I’ll recover
my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

You did see the ending right? I don't think you want to go there. Goodfellas is good but I think Casino is probably better.

Deniro came out on top in Casino, so good on him.

I think Id rather be in the position Deniro has in Casino...a front man.

Dude I had never even heard of Donnie Brasco until I saw it on netflix about a year ago. Fucking amazing, its pretty much tied with Goodfellas and yet nobody ever talks about it
