I listen to music as a whole. Bass, percussion, guitar, vocals, and even keyboard. I appreciate a good keyboardist(pianist?).

I have to agree while I like LZ's music, his voice does get annoying.

Nothing is worse than Van Halen though. I fucking HATED his squeels as a child.

You ever been to a live Mars Volta show?

Great live band, they had to stop short though because someone was throwing condoms of piss at them for some asinine reason. They told the crowd to find the guy though so he probably got his ass kicked.

Fuck yes!  I saw them a couple of years back, they played a 3 hour set.  They're making a live DVD, OF THE SHOW I SAW.  I mean out of all the shows they've ever played... how awesome is that?

Festival Hall, in Melbourne where I live.  Cedric's antics included: throwing a fan around and singing through it, violently pushing the speakers back and forth, crowd surfing, running out into the audience, crawling around on the floor with his arms...  Omar looked like he was having the time of his life, even in live clips I haven't seen them this energised.

sorry i made it through less than half of this garbage dump thread.

tool is psychedelic because the music is inspired by psychedelics, while on the influence of psychedelics, for people under the influence of psychedelics.

maybe its not your thing, who cares, i pretty much hate everything you like musically and visa versa.
