I love Porcupine Tree.

The song "The Rest Will Flow" got me through a hard time in my life.

Porcupine Tree is one of my favorite bands.  They are absolutley amazing.  I've got almost all their albums plus a few of their B-Sides and alternate takes/studio jam session discs.  And yes, I purchased all of them.   They're one of the few bands that I listen to where I won't download any of their albums...  I own their out of print album Stupid Dream, which I found used for 4 bucks and it is now worth upwards of $75.

My favorite albums are Deadwing, Stupid Dream, and The Sky Moved Sideways.  Definitely checkout Sky Moved Sideways, one of the best opening tracks ever made.  Also, checkout their album Metanoia, which is their jam sessions from the Signify album era.

Good stuff.

Truly awesome stuff..
I would also suggest Green Carnation's Light of Day, Day of Darkness if you haven't already heard it....

Are they more along the lines of Porcupine Tree or Opeth?

I find it hard to label PT and Opeth in the same category, especially listening to PT's older stuff, which is more like Pink Floyd...
