i got a new guitar tonite
    #9469688 -

really cool guitar.  i've needed another acoustic for a while now.  i got it from my grandma's husband.  i remember the day he got it and i played it i thought to myself one day i will buy this SOB.  well tonite i been doing a lot of oxy and i just flat out asked him, joe would you like to sell me that acoustic guitar you got?  he never played much and it's a very very fine guitar.  i didn't expect him to say yes but he did!!!

i paid 100$ for it w/ a hardshell case, 2 sets of strings and a little pocket tuner.  so needless to say i'm stoked!  i have no idea what barnd it is, there is no logo on the headstock or anywhere on it.  joe told me it was made in south america.  it's seriously the best playing acoustic i've ever laid fingers on.  sorry for the duke quality picture, i'll try to snag some better ones.

either way, what a cool buy.  i'm in love!

Nice find!
Sometimes guitars with no brand-name or a pretty unknown brand-name are really, really good guitars.

ohh very nice i have something ver similar but a little lighter what i use now is a nice black gibson with silver strings surronded by steel but looking at the one you got there you might enjoy the bottom 2nd fret

try yellow sun by the raconteurs lol its a bit on the light side but the notes sound great on a guitar like that!

i've been playing it for an hour or so and this guitar is growing on me so much.  it's my baybeh, i'll never get rid of this.  honestly this is truly the best acoustic i've ever played and i've played a ton.  i would have gladly paid 500$ for this guitar.  about half a year after joe got it i offered him 350$ and he declined.  god damn i'm so happy i got it. :jamming: :jamming:

i can finger pick and "chicken pick," but for the most part i am a very mean picker.  my legato isn't so strong but i'm on zakk wylde's level when it comes to alternate picking and pentatonics.  he was my idol for ever.

Most important thing about buying a guitar. People get too caught up on what name is on the headstock and not how the guitar actually sounds and plays.

i think i might know what guitar that is, few q's

does it have a 1/4" input jack on the back strap knob?
can you give me a closeup picture of the eq toggles?
where are the dots on the top of the fret board?
shape of the headstock
