yeah it sucks having to be nice to people that dont deserve it. But you do it anyway, that's how you stay alive.

I dont think overwhelmed is quite the right word, I do often
find myself dumbing down the conversation so people around
me can keep up, I miss a lot of my old friends

I usually get the overwhelmed feeling when I'm high  but sometimes when I am just alone with my thoughts too.

i'm overwhelmed and (attempting) to deal with it through droogs. not the best choice, obviously, but they can be useful.

and yea, i'm pretty sure i made a post almost like this 2 years ago. i've read hundreds of posts so close to this. it's just a fairly common/similar difference between many of the people who end up at this community.

I've been overwhelmed recently because the exact same situations (like 100% identical) which would happen to me a few years ago are happening all over again, it's like my mind is testing me to see if I can keep expanding it

edit: sorry that was pretty off topic. i think reality becomes more intense, maybe overwhelming, when we are very aware while at the same time being surrounded by ignorance or closed mindedness. sounds like this is the case for you

Haha.  Having to be nice?  Is God going to punish you if you aren't?

Genuine kindness comes from seeing that the other person IS YOU!  Not that the other person is like you, or that the other person is suffering and your kindness will help them, or any of that.  That other being is your own true self!

I always get to thinking about the absurdities people do and live by or think about. Sometimes meaningless things, other times deeper things like war and peace and shit like that. I wonder sometimes what makes some fucker (big or small fish, metaphorically speaking) think he's any different or better than anyone else? Whenever war comes to mind I always think of how much I hate that Bush son-of-a-bitch! lol I know it's so gay and cliche, but I seriously wish there could be world peace. Everyone living in harmony as equals. Everyone had food, clothes, homes, friends, jobs etc. It makes me so down to think about the things I have (And I'm not rich or anything, I just have everything I need) and that there are people who are happy just having food for the day. I wish everyone could be so lucky. Makes me feel guilty for wanting more things in life.

"world peace" is a pipe-dream created out of confrontation by us more "civilized" and intelligent of primates.

we will never achieve peace because we take the majority of acts/products of the rest of nature that can or will do us harm as an offense.

i do often wonder why people act the way they do, but then i usually fall back on why do i act in the ways that i myself do. there is reason, but then again is there?

by some of the things you have typed, it is clear you (however consciously or not) would prefer people to live/behave more like yourself. avoid that trap. there is no singular "right" way

i try to avoid that a lil

i dont think im dumbin down i jus think im talkin in a way that makes it look like im not braggin or if im bein honest puttin it in a way that people wont "wtf" over to keep things rolling

had a lotta trouble recently feeling sorry for myself but im kinda movin past it one day at a time that and im tryin to quiet my ego down to a level where i can actually hear the other persons arguement rather then jus nodding my head not paying attetion or sayin anything back

its a bitch jus tryin to be yourself when you are the one pressuring yourself, dont worry bout other people too much solve problems as they come on live and learn

I can't talk about intellectual conversations revolving around spirituality and life because people think it's fucked up if they never think about it - which so many people don't.

Many people don't like to challenge their conceptions of reality. They find a point of view that they understand (or think they understand), and stick to it to keep their lives simple. People fear change, plain and simple. When you start talking to them about a new idea that you're trying to explore, they don't want to hear it because they already think they know all the answers.

But hey, thats what the drug culture is for.
