Bud - PLEASE HELP! - The Pub - Shroomery Message Board

Names that won't work because the alcohol will extract the perfume WITH the hash oil, making the extract near impossible to separate!

I'm wondering if it was sprayed with old spice to cover something up. Inspect the weed closely for traces of mold etc, especially inside the nugs. Also take a tiny bit and chew it between your teeth to see if there's sand in there. (the stuff having been used as an adhesive)

Water curing.. Do this ONLY at your own risk!!

First inspect the bud to see if the trichomes are still intact. The nastiness of stuff like Old Spice for weed is for a large part the alcohol base, which can "melt" the trichomes. If that has happened, skip the next part.

Take a bowl of fridge-cold water. Gently put the bud in there for a soak. Do NOT disturb the herb, because if you do the trichomes will come off.
Next, do the same with a fresh bowl of cold water, and a third one.

Now dry the weed. If your radiator's not too hot you can do it on there.

If the trichomes have melted a water wash won't do any good. The THC also is in a very oxidizable state, making the weed lose potency fast.

If the trichomes have melted you could put your weed in the dark in a dry, well-ventilated place and let it sit for a week, maybe two, to let most of the Old Spice evaporate.

Most aftershaves and perfumes consist of three layers. Its the musks etc that will prove to be the biggest problem, as these are most persistent.

Its plain and simple he ripped you off. It takes a special kind of guy to sell someone Old Spice-sprayed weed. Not the kind to do business with.

We could do a poll but I think most people won't sell someone weed like that.
