Very nice Hippie. Turtles are cool animals. Roscoe is a very young guy, isn't he?

I have a rescued turtle too. He was in such bad shape that it took seven months for him to get to some kind of health baseline (pneumonia, rotten feet, a gnawed eyelid, couldn't hold food down etc). Actually I didn't think he was going to make it but I couldn't really let him go either. After seven months there was no way he was going to a shelter (repaired / socialized a lot of damaged animals but normally I don't 'keep' them).

So now he just lives with us. I had never seen a turtle like this before (W-African Mud turtle), used to find only Trachemys sp here.

I confess.  I failed to make any money today.  Against all better judgement, i did try to go to work.  Rather than staying home and resting after the 90hr work marathon, i tried to go do a couple little jobs and just failed miserably.  Tried to take a half hit of acid to power through it and it barely did anything.  Got to the first place and dicked around with some fittings for half an hour before realizing my compressor regulator was broken and packing it all back up and leaving without generating a single billable hour.  Then went to the stone store and smashed my finger getting some slabs to build some steps for a client later this week.  Spent $200 on that but ill get it back later i suppose.

Im drinking ducs last kombucha and taking a bath and then im taking a benzo and going nigh nigh at like 7pm.


One cool thing is that i realized that roman numerals are way easier to mark stones with.  Makes sense that they were a good system because they were easy to scratch on stone surfaces before paper was really widely available..  or something. 

Whatever im exhausted

Beef thatโ€™s actually super dope about the Roman numerals and sent me down a rabbit hole of the development of them from tally marks and whatnot, super interesting! I love when ancient techniques/systems are relevant to modern issues. Sometimes ancient problems require ancient solutions :lol: hope the bath and benzo do good things for your soul and body

Sorry to hear about your day bud, some days are just fucked and can't be unfucked. It's okay to give up on that day, get some rest and try again tomorrow, seems like you got the right idea already.
