Bela Fleck and the Flecktones
    #7099476 -

Anyone like 'em or seen 'em live?
They're headlining Jazz Fest's Friday night. I've seen Fleck play with Wooten and Jon-Luc Ponty two years ago at our jazz fest, but don't know those two with the other two of Flecktones too well. I figure I'll go see them, since it's free at all, but is it gonna be any good? (I'd assume so since Wooten and Fleck are fucking sick.)

I've seen them play at the Portland Zoo. I thought they were awesome! Of course, everybodys taste is different, so I dunno if you will like them too.

their horn player is badass as well. Sometimes I see him out at the bars here in Nashville... cant remember his name right now for some reason.
The Flecktones always put on a good show.

July 5th, at the venue i work at, we are having the 15th anniversary Wooten extravaganza. not sure what that entails, but I think every wooten is going to be here. There are 5 of them i think: Regi, Rudi, Joey, victor and Futureman (Roy).
It is going to be a flurry of great musicians, and probably a few shitty ones (regi has students and his girlfriend he brings up every now and then).

I love them.. I heard about them from my banjo instructor way back when I was pickin up the banjo.

Saw them here in my town, at bonnaroo... Bela fleck likes doing solo stuff with other amazing musicians. He comes to UF every year with some crazy musical combo.

amazing musician.  It's never the same performance/songs, with the exception for a few

They are definitely worth checking out. I've seen them a couple times and will be seeing them again in August.

Either way, Wooten and Clarke are both fucking sick.
I'm thinking about going to Jazz Fest, coming home an hour or so before they play, dosing, then heading back up to see them. I planned on tripping Friday night, never seen a live show on shrooms.
