What do you do?

If someone went under the hood of your car and while trying to repair it set the entire engine on fire burning all your connections to the engine. Then to fix the problem they try to do the repairs but it no longer runs....... then they go in for a 3rd time, total it and refuse to fix it.
It's been over 6 months and this person has not paid or fixed the car, before that you drove it everyday for years with little to no problems.

I would kick myself in the butt for handing my car over to incompetence.  Then I would either learn to work on the car myself or find a new mechanic.

It was my dad and he's ruined one of each of my siblings cars in very similar ways..... my moms truck too. I have no other choice but to wait because I dont have enough to fix the work it needs.

my dad is some kind of miracle worker with cars. he can usually resurrect them for another 30k with a pair of pliers and some duct tape

This.  And the fact that your dad has previously fucked up everyone else's car puts even more of the blame on you.

So what do you do OP?  You go without a car for a while, learn from this mistake, and don't let dad touch your car again.

Not so fast you cunt, it was mine paid for by me plus thousands of dollars in repairs and upkeep for years that I owned it.  :flipthebird:  Also the way it caught fire was when he started it to move parking spaces.

Just go pay to fix it.  It was broke in the beginning by itself and you tried to get a freebie by having your dad try and fix it.  He fucked up, so now you are trying to extort money from your dad for doing you a favor??


Do you think working on your tired old piece of shit car is fun or something??  That's why it usually costs money to get your car fixed. 

You are in the same position you were in before he got his hands on it!

Ummm no you simple piece of shit.
It was fully working before the fire, I didn't ask him to work on it IN FACT he did it without asking while I was asleep as some kind of surprise favor claiming he "smelled gas". I'm not extorting any money you fucking idiot, im trying to get him rightfully pay for the damage he did to my shit which even he agrees was his fault....... but that still doesn't make money magically appear.
