When I'd first ever began to read your posts, I'll be honest I was a bit taken aback from what I perceived to be anti-DMT/psychedelics posts. Very quickly I understood exactly what you have been trying to convey and warn people about; do not ever get caught in the downward spiral of mystical delusions which these molecules tend to sweep you into. They have the propensity to be the greatest of all tools for aiding in spiritual growth, enhancing your understanding of yourself and the reality around you, and navigating the oceans of your mind. But with that, they have both the fortunate and unfortunate effect of SEVERELY skewing your perceptions and outlook on things. You may, one day, believe you are on a grand journey (well, we are ) but that tripping has become something like a videogame or a fairy tale. DMT especially. I have had ineffable experiences and some that I have discerned great meaning from and while I may or may not have gone bonkers, I don't ever see it as "the answer". Sure, it has reaffirmed my beliefs, has given me the "godhead merging" experience I have always sought (thus, reaffirming my beliefs) and other goodies, as well as "charged" my own consciousness in a way, I have not become blinded by it. Maybe I'm one of the lucky few? In any case, I HIGHLY appreciate your posts. You are one who has had a great deal of experience with these tools, so it's not as if you're just bashing on them. You are merely warning people as you are further down your journey than most are. Keep doing what you're doing. This here DMT Shaman approves |

" It was like I was becoming a member of new religion that I was the creator of. Ayahuasca in particular seems to touch on something in the brain that experiences spirituality, mysticism, and those magical moments. I'd have powerful epiphanies that were often loosely based on philosophical ideas, scientific speculations, and religious experiences. After coming down from a trip, those feelings would still be surging through me and I'd try to unpack, understand, and cope with them. But its a jigsaw puzzle that will always be incomplete, a joke with no punchline, a riddle with no answer. So there I was obsessively preoccupied with these shreds of evidence, these half-assed clues to a truth that doesn't exist. I started to become a strange sort of superstitious that's difficult to explain. I became a more handsome version of Terence Mckenna but probably a bit less lovable and huggable." |

i love how you always give people a realistic view of shit, to many people think psychedelics are something special when in reality there just like any other drug but making you hallucinate. good shit man. |

Whenever I would read other people bowing down to the droogs I just felt like a sellout since I stopped looking deeply into the trips. But then I found you and it helped out a bunch. Once you get over that hump of a mind maze tripping is just that much better. You have hooked me on some great ideas and philosophies. I greatly appreciate it. |

You're the heart of this board, Joe "I've probably turned many people onto oral DMT and bridgesii despite my dire warnings because the prospect of a brief visit in heaven usually seems to outweigh a psychedelic eternity in hell." Love you, man. Last Edited 10/16/12 02:45 PM |

to read your posts. it's easy to tell how much thought is put into each one. Also, you're doing a brave thing posting your beliefs on a website like this. You come off as harsh sometimes, but it really is true that what you say resonates in an unsettling way to many people, kind of like the possibility of religion being false does to a religious person. Keep up the good work! | |||||
