He was very informative and helped me out a lot. He wasn't afraid to respond to PM's either. I ended up abandoning the grow guide I got with my kit and adopting methods based on his advice with great success on my first grow.

okay, so I first reading through some of your replied to other posts I thought you were a dick. But honestly, Thank you for PMing me and offering any help that I may need. This rating has been changed to reflect my personal experience with you.
However, the reason you were voted the way in the first place is because the responses from you on some of the posts out there are unbecoming of an ADMIN. Your first responsibility is to teach, if you don't want to do that, then keep quiet, you are an admin and you represent the shroomery. I don't run this site, but I imagine that whoever does probably don't want someone that represents them being mean to anyone, including new members.
The very first time I ever came here was through a Google search. Several searches later the shroomery kept coming up, so I made an account. This site is intimidating the first time you come to it. Lots of info on the main page, lots of forums to sort through. For a first time grower, what seems like a stupid question to another, is a valid question to gain as much info to have a successful run. So when I start typing questions in the search and come up with jerk comments, and then I see that they are from admins, or at least users with "higher power" then it makes me start to wonder how this place is run.
Look if you wanna blast everyone with a different account, who am I to say you can't? However, if you wanna blast people with your admin account? Well that isn't professional, nor is it becoming of "management". If you think a post is stupid, ignore it, or lock it and post a reason why. Or better yet, explain the answer, and why it isn't necessarily a good question.
I'm leaving you at a four because of one on one conversation. But this needed to be said.
