Depression

Even though others argued against you. I agree with you, because I have been there for over 10 years of wasted youth and I got out of it.
I believe the "chemical imbalances" are caused by the depression in most cases, and not the other way around. As far as I'm concerned, you were spot on, and the others just like to use the "chemical imbalance" excuse.
BTW I realize that thread is over 4 years old, haha

Makes lots of "Noteworthy" posts. I always enjoy pondering what you have to say.

Editing this to say that honestly, you're extremely intelligent and rational. You have the ability to see things from all angles, and best of all, from a neutral stance.

I'd also like to add that I wish I possessed the ability to articulate my thoughts as well and as seemingly effortlessly as you do.
