Yet some commonalities do appear from my readings: a spiritual experience does the job for many (psychedelics can prove beneficial here, in particular Ibogaine), and hitting rock bottom for others (which can be jail for some or even just the first taste of dope-sickness for others). Finding meaning appears to be crucial--you have to find something that you are passionate about and that will give you fulfillment and purpose.
