collectively we are undergoing a redefinition of what reality is and can be, and how malleable it is.  a side effect of this is the crumbling of old systems which are based on corruption, control, fear, and greed.  when too many people have abandoned old thought patterns and belief systems based on fear and control, these systems will fall away. 
crystallization is somewhat of a metaphor for a shift in state of being, or collective perspective - we are moving from limitation, fear, and so on into a more malleable and unlimited experience of reality. 
these changes actually literally have an effect on the wiring and functioning of the brain.  thoughts, belief systems, and state of being are becoming more powerfully magnetic - attracting like thoughts, even people and circumstances to a degree whose intensity has not been experienced by us, as it continues to accelerate forever. 
crystals are more efficient and speedy processors, and in that sense we are becoming more like crystals.  fear/control based systems are experiencing this as well, and it is why they are destroying themselves.  it's like a feedback loop
