Good Poster

Posts things of substance in the philosophy forum- which is an underrepresented trait in that forum.

Doesn't mind deconstructing false premises and fallacious reasoning and often makes good points.

You too, man, you are an asset to the Shroomery! :yesnod2:

Has good practical and academic understanding of the law and uses it to help folks out.  Could use more folks like this guy.

Intellectually honest, will abandon positions he can't logically support rather stubbornly parroting them or using the otherwise obstinante tactics folks use when they refuse to follow where logic takes them.

Does more to mislead people than almost anyone else on the Shroomery.

Posts every notion that comes into his head as fact in the Security and Safety forum, and has to date never provided a single citation to any statute or case that backs up his claims.

No matter how many times his claims are called out, he continues to post his thoughts as factual rather than speculation or what may be true/what he thinks.

I pity the person who believes what this guy says, more often than not, he's made it up, and he's never once been able to back up his claims.

Posts some worthwhile political commentary though.

Surprised I haven't rated you yet.

Posts great content, and interesting viewpoints.

Plus, I gotta respect someone who has your signature.  Prohibition is a moral issue, primarily, and no amount of social consensus or postulated consequences makes it acceptable to jail someone and give them a criminal record for conduct that has not harmed another's rights.

EDIT (Updated comment):
I have to disagree with lakefingers' assessment, left in his rating, that Diploid is a "mercurial" moderator.  I have seen him interact with many people whom he disagrees with in the philosophy forum, as well as many people he agrees with, and while he certainly expresses his personal opinion, at times quite strongly (he is very well-spoken for), I have never seen an instance where it appears he has let his personal feelings contaminate his judgment or actions as a moderator.  I regard myself as one of the more critical members regarding moderator behavior, and I cannot identify any basis for lakefingers' thoughts.
Until lakefingers, or anyone else, can provide actual evidence backing his conclusory comments, I think Diploid's continued contributions as both a member and as a fair and openly-acting moderator speak for themselves.
We need more moderators like Diploid, especially on forums that attract conflicting and emotionally-entrenched viewpoints such as the Philosophy forum.

I like this guy

Logical and can debate a subject without getting emotional.  Thinks things through and lets logic lead him to the answer

Nice guy too

EDIT:  Dropped from 2 shrooms to 0 because this user had a mental breakdown after I rated him and started sending me PMs.  Unfortunately, the contents can't be publically stated per the rules, but if their were any doubt this guy is an emotionally fragile person who becomes severely hurt if you disagree with his opinions or reasoning, there isn't now.
-----
Pretty much the cream of the crop when it comes to spurious logic and fabricated facts, and yet he hangs out in the philosophy forum.  If you talk with him, just remember, that whenever he makes claims, the burden of proof is on you to disprove them, and that he's correct until then.  (this doens't work in reverse, for reasons that are unclear)

(Burden of proof difficulties are just the tip of the iceberg for this guy, but for the sake of his tenuous emotional health we'll leave it at that.)

yep, an adult's body is his own. So long as you hurt nobody else's rights, leave folks alone.

decypher told me to rate you a zero.

But I'll give you a two.

UPDATE:  Decypher told me to change this rating to a 5 because he finds your one of the few members who will defend their positions in the philosophy forum when scrutinized.

that's the great thing about third party votes.  lots of people will tell you it's a "wasted" vote, but if there are enough of them, they can make the difference between whether the republocrats win or the demoblicans win.  thus, the next time around, the losing side realizes some of the issues they must take on to gain those votes, while at the same time the winning side realizes they must do the same in order not to lose them to the opponents.  no vote is "wasted" when the issues get attention and are put on the table.  the only problem is getting decent numbers of people to realize this and stop voting for the big-government parties.

Hey, who do you think you are asking someone to support their declerations?

That's not how we roll around here buddy.

Ain't too shroomy to ask someone to support their bullshit premises upon which their entire ridiculous theory is built.
