Oh yes... Dead Space..
01/25/13 10:51 AM

Soooooo awesome to find another Dead Space afficianado among our ranks. When 3 comes out, regardless of how bad it may be, we shall play co op and merk some necromorphs none-the-less! 5 for being rad!

imachavel responded on 01/25/13 03:29 PM:

Im sure Ill end up playing it anyway. Co op ought to be an interesting venture, and as you said the demo wasnt as scary as I thought, aside from good graphics. Last week replayed ds1 entirely. Love the story. The games so intricate so I can never memorise the whole thing. Each time I reply it something seems new to me

Awesome thread, some very intresting and enlightening posts in there. i came in expecting all nonsense but there are some seriously good points being made. Idk why people say your posts have no content or whatever, thats not the point of every post/thread... your clear  concise when it matters and, well thats what matters.

I don't like to give out bad ratings
06/09/13 07:45 PM

So I wont give you a zero, but damn you come off as so incredibly condescending and rude in well over half of your posts that I read. It's not conducive to discussion and even when you are making a good point your attitude towards others almost always completely destroys whatever you are trying to stay. You seem pretty intelligent overall and I have hope that you can do better.

Edit: I appreciate your response to what I've said here. It was open and thoughtful. Being able to handle constructive criticism well is an admirable trait and I look forward to more interactions in the future.

imachavel responded on 06/11/13 02:15 PM:

some constructive criticism for you as well. Socialism might in theory work but I still have not seen any good example of it work anywhere any time, I've said capitalism is the best form of government simply by default, because it seems to give more power to the people then any form of government so far. I mean not to be derogatory when I say socialism sucks but I must admit I don't see how any system of government that takes up to 50% of taxes and distributes it in a way giving people 'compensated' government assistance, as high quality the assistance may be, is a good form of governance. When I say "power to the people" I honestly don't mean to say NO GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE is a good thing, of course I appreciate roads and railroads, but to me any government that believes in catering 99% of it's resources to the rich whether democratic or socialist or communist is ridiculous and is uneven wealth displacement.

Of course I've seen you point out several examples of how socialism is a successful model without much evidence I think to clarify why. It is of course, hard to come up with a working model of economic success for citizens without basing the model more on intangible measurements such as bonds stocks and money, the current representation of trade value for tangible things. Defining an evened out world in terms of tangible trade is difficult, since tangible trade is based on the monetary system, but seeing it in tangible assets instead of intangible assets to me clearly shows the true inequality of things. I would appreciate it if you clarified your idea of how socialism could be a successful model more. But please, not in the ratings, but more so on the forum. Appreciate your patience
